ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARD
When the BP oil spill happened in 2910 it affected all costal areas. Mike was one of the first people to step up and take the case of all gulf coast residents to the senate.
As Mike put it during testimony in fron of a US Senate committee hearing in Washington D.C. – in Hurricane Katrina the fisherman lost the infrastructure to carry on their work. He continued, infrastructure can and was rebuilt. In this case, the oil spill is preventing fisherman from getting to the “resource” (fish, shrimp, crabs, oysters, etc.)
Mike is angry, frustrated and determined to make a difference as he has testified before a U.S. Senate investigational hearing as well as members of Congress and is an articulate spokesperson for why it is important to preserve one of the disappearing acts of our society.
